European Charter for Sustainable Tourism in the  NP Muránska planina

Project was implemented in 2009-2011. Project partner was the organization Europarc Federation and NP Harz (Germany). European Charter for sustainable tourism in protected areas is one among many programs offered by the organization Europarc Federation. Charter is a practical tool for management of sustainable tourism in protected area based on stakeholders involvement in tourism management in the area. In the framework of the project we organized stakeholders meeting, elaborated strategic and action documents and organized study trip to the NP Harz. After successful implementation process, NP Muránska planina was awarded by the European Charter of Sustainable tourism as the first protected area in the Carpathian space.
